PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a deoxycholic acid-reducing agent comprising as an active ingredient a lactic acid bacterium that is found from lactic acid bacteria as one having a property of suppressing an increase in deoxycholic acid as a secondary bile acid without causing a decrease in cholic acid as a first bile acid, and a property of decreasing already existing deoxycholic acid.SOLUTION: The present invention provides a deoxycholic acid-reducing agent comprising lactic acid bacterium belonging to Lactobacillus gasseri and/or a culture product thereof as an active ingredient. Among the lactic acid bacteria belonging to Lactobacillus gasseri, Lactobacillus gasseri SBT2055 (FERM BP-10953) is particularly preferable. The present invention also provides a nutritional composition, food, beverage, or feed comprising the deoxycholic acid-reducing agent.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1【課題】乳酸菌のなかから一次胆汁酸であるコール酸を減少させずに二次胆汁酸であるデオキシコール酸の増加を抑制する性質、及び、既に存在するデオキシコール酸を減少させる性質を有する菌を見出し、当該乳酸菌を有効成分とするデオキシコール酸低減剤を提供することを本発明の課題とした。【解決手段】本発明は、ラクトバチルス・ガセリ（Ｌａｃｔｏｂａｃｉｌｌｕｓ ｇａｓｓｅｒｉ）に属する乳酸菌菌体及び／又はその培養物を有効成分とするデオキシコール酸低減剤を提供する。ラクトバチルス・ガセリに属する乳酸菌のうちでも、特にラクトバチルス・ガセリＳＢＴ２０５５（ＦＥＲＭ ＢＰ－１０９５３）が好ましい。さらに本発明は、前記デオキシコール低減剤を含有する栄養組成物、飲食品又は飼料も提供する。【選択図】図１
