PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent breakage of a seedling box by preventing curving of the seedling box during pushing of a potted seedling.SOLUTION: The seedling receiving device 1 includes: a seedling receiving arm attachment seat 3 provided on a device body 2 a seedling receiving arm 4 having a base end vertically rotatably supported on the attachment seat 3 through an arm support shaft 4a a seedling receiving base 5 provided at a tip of the seedling receiving arm 4 and having a seedling receiving groove 5a and a seedling receiver driving mechanism 6 for reciprocating and rotating the seedling receiving base 5 between a seedling receiving position and a seedling delivery position, in which a potted seedling N pushed by a pushing rod inserted through a crack portion formed on the bottom surface of a potted seedling chamber 11 from the reverse side of the seedling box 10 is received in the seedling receiving groove opposed to an opening of the potted seedling chamber 11 on the surface side of the seedling box 10 at the seedling receiving position.
