Disclosed herein is a method of producing a muscadine pomace extract. Themethod can include combining abronze muscadine pomace extract with a purple muscadine pomace extract toproduce a muscadine pomace extract, wherein theratio of bronze muscadine pomace extract to purple muscadine pomace extractranges from 0.1 to 10 (weight to weight), such asfrom 0.3 to 3 (weight to weight), and the muscadine pomace extract has apolyphenol content of at least 2%. Also disclosed hereinis a muscadine pomace extract for use as an antioxidant, such as for use as ananti-aging supplement. The composition can includea muscadine (Vitis rotundifolid) pomace extract having a polyphenol content ofat least 2% and other active ingredients.
