The present invention provides, in one aspect, a method of treating an eye disease by administering a pharmaceutical composition comprising an inhibitor of a colony stimulating factor-1 (CSF-1) receptor. In another aspect, the invention provides a pharmaceutical composition for treating ocular disease, wherein said composition comprises at least one inhibitor of CSF-1R.
