PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide resin particles which give not only spreadability and smoothness but also dry touch to cosmetics and singly also give smoothness, dry touch, and excellent dispersibility in a hydrophobic medium.SOLUTION: The resin particles are cross-linked (meth)acrylic acid ester resin particles, which are prepared by copolymerizing monomer components comprising a (meth)acrylic acid ester and a monomer having a carboxyl group. At least a portion of a surface of the resin particle is coated with a surfactant expressed by general formula (1): wherein R1 is a 8-23C monovalent hydrocarbon group, R2 and R3 are each a group expressed by -OM1 (M1 is a hydrogen atom or a cation) or -O(AO)n-R1, A is a 2-4C alkylene group, n is a number of 0 to 40 indicating an average number of additional moles of an oxyalkylene group, and n As may be or may not be identical to one another.
