PURPOSE: A cosmetic composition containing mucus of snails fed with red ginseng is provided to enable wound healing and skin regeneration and to relieve atopic dermatitis and skin irritation. CONSTITUTION: A method for preparing a cosmetic composition comprises: a step of feeding snails(Achatina fulica or Helix pomatia species) on feed containing 0.1-30 wt% of red ginseng； a step of collecting mucus from the snails； and a step of adding the snail mucus to the cosmetic composition. The snail mucus contains chondroitin sulfate, allantoin, and glycolic acid. The cosmetic composition is used for skin moisturizing.
