PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for obtaining images and providing information on a screen from a magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) apparatus, and an apparatus therefor.SOLUTION: A method and an MRI apparatus which detect the motion of a subject during the execution of a protocol for capturing MRI images, and control the execution of a protocol or provide a user with information according to the extent of the motion are provided. Consequently, motion artifacts appearing in MRI images can be minimized.
