FIELD: testing equipment.SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a testing technique, in particular to the investigation of metals for stress-corrosion cracking in hydrogen sulfide-containing media. Device comprises a cell with a hermetically sealed cover with grooves disposed on its surface for fixing one end of the test specimen in them and a movable piston with a threaded connection for securing the second end of the test sample therein. Movable piston divides the sealed cell into a working chamber and a damping cell. To assemble and fix the pressure in the working chamber, a pressure-tight assembly consisting of a manometer and a needle valve is provided in the hermetically sealed cover. Damping chamber is equipped with a relief needle valve with a manometer. Hydrogen sulphide-containing gas under pressure passes through the needle valve of the manometric assembly and enters the working chamber of the cell. Under the influence of gas pressure, the movable piston creates tensile stresses in the test sample. Cell i
