An absorptive article (1) comprises a front surface sheet (10) which makes contact with the skin of the wearer, a liquid impermeable rear surface sheet (20) which does not permit liquid to pass therethrough, and an absorptive body (30). A pair of side sheets (201, 202) is provided on the front surface sheet (10), and the side sheets (201, 202) are spaced at a predetermined interval in the width direction of the absorptive article (1) and extend in the longitudinal direction of the absorptive article (1). The absorptive article (1) is provided with affixing regions (101, 102) which affix the absorptive article (1) to the underwear of the wearer, and the affixing regions (101, 102) are located on a surface of the rear surface sheet (20), said surface being that which is located on the opposite side of the wearers skin. In the thickness direction of the absorptive article (1), the affixing region (101) and the side sheet (201) are arranged so as to partially face each other, and the affixing region (102) and the side sheet (202) are arranged so as to partially face each other.
