The present invention relates to a citripericarpium composition with effects of protecting neurons and improving memory, which comprises: ginseng, Poria cocos, Citri Unshiu Pericarpium Immaturus, Rhemannia glutinosa Liboschitz, and honey, and also relates to a functional food containing the same. The citripericarpium composition using honey repairs damage caused by oxidative damage of the neurons, and has efficacy on memory impairment and failure in cognitive abilities which are caused by failure or damage on a cholinergic system in a central nervous system.
