PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the working rate of a filling system by executing a third operation mode between a first operation mode and a second operation mode.SOLUTION: A filling system 1 comprises a freeze-dry storage 3 for freeze-drying the contents in containers 2. Control means has three operation modes. In the first operation mode, the containers filled with the contents by filling means 13 can be received in the freeze-dry storage 3 via first conveyance means 4. In the second operation mode, the containers with the contents freeze-dried by the freeze-dry storage 3 can be taken out from the freeze-dry storage, and the containers can be conveyed to a discharge position B for the containers via second conveyance means 17. In the third mode, the containers filled with the contents requiring no freeze-dry by the filling means 13 can be made to bypass the freeze-dry storage 3 and conveyed from the first conveyance means 4 to the discharge position B via the second conveyance means 17.
