PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To set present preset data adapted to a combination of a subject and an examined region in an ultrasonic diagnostic apparatus.SOLUTION: A preset data identifier and a subordinate preset data identifier are managed for each combination of the subject and the examined region in a preset management table 40. The examined region is specified from the position of a probe mark (an area on which a typical probe mark point belongs) on a body mark. A control part 10 obtains specific preset data from a preset storage part 12 according to the preset management table 40, or obtains specific preset data from a subordinate preset storage part 26 if necessary.
