The present invention relates to a method to control an air conditioner capable of communicating with a wearable device which is capable of measuring physical information of a user. According to the present invention, the method to control an air conditioner comprises: a step of making the air conditioner operate in a cooling or heating mode to a set temperature a step of determining whether a user-centered control function is set to be used or not a step of recognizing physical information of a user through a wearable device a step of determining whether the physical information is within a preset reference range or not and a step of maintaining an operation state of the air conditioner when the physical information is within the reference range and performing compensation operation if not. The physical information includes information about either or both of a body heat and a heart rate.본 발명은 공기 조화기의 제어방법에 관한 것으로,사용자의 신체정보를 측정할 수 있는 웨어러블 디바이스와, 통신이 가능 가능한 공기 조화기의 제어방법에 있어서,공기 조화기가 설정온도로 냉방 또는 난방 운전되는 단계 사용자 중심 제어 기능을 사용하도록 설정되어 있는지 판단하는 단계 상기 웨어러블 디바이스를 통하여 상기 사용자의 신체정보가 인식되는 단계 상기 신체정보가 미리 설정된 기준범위에 속하는지 여부가 결정되는 단계 상기 신체정보가 상기 기준범위 내에 속하면 상기 공기 조화기의 운전상태가 유지되고, 상기 신체정보가 상기 기준범위를 벗어나면 보상운전을 수행하는 단계가 포함되며, 상기 신체정보에는, 체온 및 심박수 중 적어도 하나의 정보가 포함되는 것을 특징으로 한다.
