To provide an X-ray imaging apparatus in which a holder for supporting an X-ray detector can be positioned easily even when a subject is X-ray imaged from a lateral side.SOLUTION: An overhead traveling type X-ray tube suspending machine 2 and a flat panel detector 12 housed in a cassette holder 14 are used when a subject 10 in a lying state on a top plate 31 is X-ray imaged from a body side direction using a proximity operation type X-ray fluoroscopic apparatus 1. The cassette holder 14 is configured so as to house the flat panel detector 12 in a state of sliding it from a lateral side. The cassette holder 14 is supported by a deck part 33 of the proximity operation type X-ray fluoroscopic apparatus 1 through a spindle 15. The spindle 15 is pivotally supported by the deck part 33, and the cassette holder 14 is swingable around the spindle 15.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1【課題】 被検者を側方からＸ線撮影する場合においても、Ｘ線検出器を支持するホルダを容易に位置決めすることが可能なＸ線撮影装置を提供する。【解決手段】 近接操作式透視撮影装置１を使用して天板３１上で臥位状態の被検者１０をその体側方向からＸ線撮影を行うときには、天井走行型Ｘ線管懸垂機２と、カセットホルダ１４に収納されたフラットパネルディテクタ１２とが使用される。カセットホルダ１４は、フラットパネルディテクタ１２を側方からスライドする状態で収納する構成を有する。このカセットホルダ１４は、支軸１５を介して近接操作式透視撮影装置１のデッキ部３３に支持されている。支軸１５は、デッキ部３３に軸支されており、カセットホルダ１４は、支軸１５を中心に揺動可能となっている。【選択図】 図１
