A trap includes a net body with a trapping side. The trapping side is configured to face air flow that passes through the mesh of the net body. A trapping method induces flying insects to fly along the air flow so as to be caught on the trapping side of the net body. With the use of this invention, flying insects can be induced by the smell of an animal to fly into the air flow and to be carried along the air flow toward the net body. A light source for attracting the insets is thus unnecessary.
