PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a compound which is useful as antifungal agent.SOLUTION: In order to investigate the compound produced by a microorganism, microorganisms of the genus Paenibacillus are sampled and, from a culture medium thereof, a depsipeptide compound or a salt thereof is isolated. It is confirmed that the depsipeptide compound has an antifungal effect, and thereby completing the depsipeptide compound. The depsipeptide compound or the salt thereof has an antifungal effect and can be used as a prevention and/or treatment agent for fungus disease.【課題】抗真菌剤として有用な化合物の提供。【解決手段】本発明者らは、微生物の生産する化合物について検討するため、パエニバシルス(Paenibacillus)属の微生物を採取し、その培養液からデプシペプチド化合物またはその塩を単離した。本発明のデプシペプチド化合物が抗真菌作用を有することを確認し、本発明を完成した。本発明のデプシペプチド化合物またはその塩は、抗真菌作用を有し、真菌症の予防および／または治療剤として使用しうる。【選択図】なし
