The present invention relates to a medical image display apparatus and a medical image processing method. The medical image display apparatus comprises: a display unit to display a first medical image obtained by photographing a subject including at least one anatomical entity； and at least one processor to extract reference area information corresponding to the anatomical entity from at least one second medical image which is a reference image of the first medical image, detect an area corresponding to the anatomical entity in the first medical image based on the extracted reference area information, and control the display unit to distinguish and display the detected area of the anatomical entity and an area which is not the anatomical entity. Accordingly, since an anatomical entity which was not identified in a non-contrast medical image can be distinguished and displayed, a lymph node tracking test can be performed on patients who should not use a contrast agent. Early diagnosis of various diseases is possible, and diagnosis accuracy can be improved.본 발명은 의료영상 표시장치 및 의료영상 처리방법에 관한 것으로서, 의료영상 표시장치는, 적어도 하나의 해부학적 개체를 포함하는 대상체를 촬상한 제1 의료영상을 표시하는 디스플레이부와； 제1 의료영상의 참조영상인 적어도 하나의 제2 의료영상으로부터 해부학적 개체에 대응하는 참조영역정보를 추출하고, 추출된 참조영역정보에 기초하여 제1 의료영상에서 해부학적 개체에 대응하는 영역을 검출하고, 검출된 해부학적 개체의 영역이 해부학적 개체가 아닌 영역과 구분하여 표시되도록 디스플레이부를 제어하는 적어도 하나의 프로세서를 포함한다. 이에 의하여, 비 조영 의료영상에서 식별되지 않았던 해부학적 개체에 대한 구분 표시가 가능하므로, 조영제 사용이 어려운 환자들도 림프노드 추적 검사가 가능하고, 각종 질환의 조기진단이 가능할 뿐 아니라 진단 정확도가 보다 향상될 수 있다.
