Disclosed is an insect trap including an insect trapping container, an adhesive plate and a lure. The insect trapping container includes: a base, and a top cover which can be liftablely opened and covered above the base along the vertical direction and is jointed with the base to define an internal space. The base is provided with at least one hole opening downwards and is communicated with the internal space. The outer contour of the top cover being perpendicular to the vertical direction is larger than the outer contour of the base. The adhesive plate can be detachably fixed at one side of the top cover being adjacent to the internal space. The adhesive plate includes an adhesive surface facing the base and having adhesiveness. The lure is disposed in the internal space and used to lure insects to approach thereto. By using the arrangement manner of the hole and the adhesive plate and in conjunction with the structure of the insect trapping container, the sand cannot be easily blown into the internal space and the probability of sand and dust adhering to the adhesive surface can be reduced.
