The present invention relates to a memory-improving pharmaceutical composition including a Cyclin Y (CCNY) protein inhibitor as an active ingredient. An objective of the present invention is to provide novel use of CCNY as a target of a memory-improving agent. According to the present invention, it has been found that CCNY protein, which has been received attentions recently in the nervous system, inhibits expression of main receptors mediating memory on the surface of cells. Another objective of the present invention is to provide a memory-improving composition including an inhibitor against the expression or activation of the CCNY protein. The present invention can be applied to a therapy and diagnosis in order to clarify the molecular mechanism based on CCNY for learning and memory, to assist understanding of causes of brain disorders related with memory disorder, and ultimately to treat brain memory disorders such as dementia.본 발명은 Cyclin Y (CCNY) 단백질 억제제를 유효성분으로 포함하는 기억력의 증진용 약학 조성물에 관한 것이다.본 발명의 목적은 신경계에서 새로이 주목받고 있는 CCNY 단백질이 기억을 매개하는 주요 수용체의 세포 표면 발현을 억제하는 것을 발견함으로써, 기억력 증진제의 타겟으로서 CCNY의 새로운 용도를 제공하는 데 있다.본 발명의 다른 목적은 상기 CCNY 단백질의 발현 또는 작용 억제제를 포함하는 기억력 증진용 조성물을 제공하는 데 있다.본 발명은 학습과 기억에 대한 CCNY 중심의 분자적 기전을 밝히고, 기억장애와 관련된 뇌질환의 원인 이해를 도우며, 궁극적으로 치매와 같은 뇌 기억장애를 치료하기 위한 요법 및 진단에 응용될 수 있다.
