This invention provides a fragrance containing absorbent article in which the adhesive strength of wing pressure sensitive adhesive sections is maintained within an appropriate range. Said absorbent article (1) comprises the following: a middle section (CB) that is thicker than the outside edges (30E) of an absorber and in the width direction of the product is located inwards of said outside edges wings (50) that extend past the absorber in the width direction of the product and during use can be folded back onto the side corresponding to a non skin side sheet and fragrance containing regions (PA) that contain the abovementioned fragrance. The surfaces of the wings corresponding to the aforementioned non skin side sheet are provided with wing pressure sensitive adhesive sections (72) that can removably adhere to underwear. Before the absorbent article is unwrapped the wings are folded over onto the side corresponding to a skin side sheet and the outside edges (50E) of the wings overlap at least parts of the above mentioned middle section in a planar view of the wrapped absorbent article. In the width direction of the product the fragrance containing regions are only provided outside the points (P1) where the outside edges of the wings are located prior to unwrapping.
