The present inventionprovides combinations of probiotics, Longum BB536 / BL-999 with L. Rhamnosus LPR / LGG or B. Longum BB536 / BL-999 with L. Paracasei ST-11, for use by administration to expectant females and/or lactating mothers, and optionally to their progeny for the reduction or prevention of the development of allergy in progeny. A daily dose of such combinations of probiotics is administered to a pregnant woman for at least two weeks before delivery. The allergic status of their infants was reduced. Thus allergy, including atopy, may be prevented in the progeny by a nutritional intervention in mother with a combinations of probiotics.La présente invention concerne des combinaisons de probiotiques, Longum BB536 / BL-999 et L. Rhamnosus LPR / LGG ou B. Longum BB536 / BL-999 et L. Paracasei ST-11, destinées à être administrées à des femmes enceintes et/ou des mères allaitantes, et de éventuellement à leur progéniture, afin de diminuer ou prévenir le développement dune allergie chez la progéniture. Une dose journalière de telles combinaisons de probiotiques est administrée à une femme enceinte pendant au moins deux semaines avant laccouchement. Le statut allergique de leurs jeunes enfants a été diminué. Lallergie, dont latopie, pourrait donc ainsi être prévenue chez la progéniture par une intervention nutritionnelle chez la mère, grâce à une combinaison de probiotiques.
