The present invention relates to a main frame of a riding type rice transplanter wherein a diesel engine having the same displacement as a gasoline engine is mounted without any changes to the main frame, thereby, a relatively high power and torque are obtained compared with a gasoline engine, a turning radius is not increased, as a result, movement and rice transplanting work can be performed easily. The main frame of the riding type rice transplanter comprises: a pair of main bars having an inclined portion to be upwardly inclined in a rear of a front horizontal portion, and forming a rear horizontal portion integrally in a rear of the inclined portion； a front bar, a middle bar and a rear bar that are connected to a front end, an intermediate portion and a rear end of the main bar； a pair of step fixing bar for fixing in a lengthwise direction on an upper surface of the rear horizontal portion； a front bracket, a middle bracket and a rear bracket projecting to both sides of the rear horizontal portion； a front wheel mounting hole to be fixed for installing a front wheel in an outer part of the front horizontal portion between the middle and the rear bracket； and a rear wheel mounting hole to be fixed for installing a rear wheel to both ends of the step fixing bar wherein it is possible to mount and use a diesel engine without changing the length of the main frame.본 발명은 가솔린엔진과 동일한 배기량을 가지는 디젤엔진을 메인프레임의 변경 없이 장착하여 가솔린엔진에 비하여 상대적으로 높은 출력과 토크를 얻을 수 있으면서 선회 반경이 증가 되지 않아 이동과 이앙작업을 수월하게 할 수 있도록 한 것으로서；전방에 형성되는 전측수평부의 후미에 상향 경사지게 경사부를 형성하고, 경사부의 후미에 후측수평부를 일체로 형성한 한 쌍의 메인바와, 상기 메인바의 선단과 중간 및 후단에 연결하는 프론트바와 미들바 및 리어바와, 상기 후측수평부의 상면에는 횡 방향으로 고정하는 한 쌍의 스텝고정바와, 상기 전측수평부의 양측으로 돌출시키는 프론트브라켓과 미들브라켓 및 리어브라켓와, 상기 미들 및 리어브라켓 사이의 전측수평부 외측에 전륜을 장착할 수 있도록 고정하는 전륜장착구와, 스텝고정바의 양단에 후륜을 장착할 수 있도록 고정하는 후륜장착구로 승용이앙기메인프레임을 구성하고, 상기 메인프레임의 길이를 변화시키기 않고 디젤엔진을 장착하여 사용할 수 있도록 한 것이 특징이다.
