A method of manufacturing a ribbon of an orthodontic appliance according to the invention, said method comprising the following steps: a) determining an orthodontic treatment adapted to the treatment of the teeth of a patient； b) determining a set of forces to be exerted locally on said teeth to obtain said orthodontic treatment and the shape of the surface of the teeth on which gluing areas of said shape memory ribbon are to be glued； c) manufacturing said shape memory ribbon, the local cross-section of said memory ribbon, and in particular the local cross-section of interleaved sections of said memory ribbon, being determined according to said forces and so as to define zones of bonding substantially identical to the surfaces of said teeth on which they must be glued.Procédé de fabrication d'un ruban d'un appareil orthodontique selon l'invention, ledit procédé comportant les étapes suivantes : a) détermination d'un traitement orthodontique adapté au traitement des dents d'un patient； b) détermination d'un ensemble de forces à exercer localement sur lesdites dents pour obtenir ledit traitement orthodontique et de la forme de la surface des dents sur lesquelles des zones de collage dudit ruban à mémoire de forme doivent être collées； c) fabrication dudit ruban à mémoire de forme, la section transversale locale dudit ruban à mémoire, et en particulier la section transversale locale de tronçons inter-attaches dudit ruban à mémoire, étant déterminée en fonction desdites forces et de manière à définir des zones de collage sensiblement identiques aux surfaces desdites dents sur lesquelles elles doivent être collées.
