The disclosed bioabsorbable stent is made of a bioabsorbable material. The bioabsorbable material contains a contrast medium. Because the present bioabsorbable stent contains a contrast medium, the stent can be detected, for example, from outside the living body. Thus, with the present bioabsorbable stent, it is possible, for example, to check the shape, the degree of decomposition, or the placement site of the stent without incising the patient.
