PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fishing reel which improves the operability and the sensitivity thereof and simplifies a support structure in a pillar.SOLUTION: The fishing reel comprises: a screw shaft 21 which is supported between right and left side plates 2A, 2B of a reel body 1 and rotates interlockingly with the rotation operation of a handle shaft 7a a fishing line-guiding member 22 which is provided between the right and left side plates 2A, 2B so as to be reciprocated by the screw shaft 21 and winds a fishing line parallely onto a spool 5 and a pillar 30 for guiding the fishing line to the fishing line-guiding member 22. The fishing line-guiding member 22 has a fishing line-guiding part which is formed in a narrower lateral width and guides the fishing line to the spool 5 in fishing line-winding state, and an opening part 24 which is formed wider than the fishing line-guiding part in a lateral direction and reduces the release resistance of the fishing line in a fishing line-releasing state.
