Treatments to increase the vigor of woody plants under in vitro conditions and their method of application. The present invention provides effective treatments, to increase the growth of woody plants (preferably peach and plum) under in vitro conditions. The present invention shows how the addition of benzothiodiazole (BTH) or carboxylic L-2-oxo-4-thiazolidine acid (OTC), at low concentrations, to the culture medium for the micropropagation of said plants, acts by promoting the growth of explants very significantly. In a particular aspect the invention relates to a method of treatment to increase vigor in woody plants under in vitro conditions comprising the following steps, (i) establishment of in vitro explant culture of woody plants, (ii) subculture of said explants in medium and conditions suitable for in vitro culture, (iii) addition to the culture medium at low concentration of one of the two BTH or OTC compounds that are environmentally friendly and metabolizable by plants and the (iv) subculture of explants in the medium containing the compounds in conditions suitable for in vitro culture.Tratamientos para incrementar el vigor de plantas leñosas en condiciones in vitro y su método de aplicación. La presente invención proporciona tratamientos eficaces, para aumentar el crecimiento de plantas leñosas (preferentemente melocotonero y ciruelo) en condiciones in vitro. La presente invención muestra como la adición de benzotiodiazol (BTH) o ácido L-2-oxo-4-tiazolidina carboxílico (OTC), a bajas concentraciones, al medio de cultivo para la micropropagación de dichas plantas, actúa promoviendo el crecimiento de los explantos de forma muy significativa.
