PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To easily move a working part and fix the position of the working part in the moving direction in a simple structure.SOLUTION: A first working part 3 of an absorbent article manufacturing apparatus 10 folds back a side sheet body 931. A first working part moving mechanism 4 moves the first working part 3 when the type of a disposable diaper to be manufactured is changed. The first working part moving mechanism 4 includes a shaft 41 and a gear box 40. The shaft 41 is rotated to move the first working part 3 in the moving direction. The gear box 40 includes: a gear part mechanically connected to the shaft 41 an entering part entering a recessed part between gears of the gear part and an elastic part for applying resistance to the rotation of the gear part by energizing the entering part toward the gear part.
