PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a breeding device in which the efficiency of a storage space of a cage is preferable, the taking in-and-out of the cage is simple, the vibration and noise given to the cage is reduced when mounted at a device, and the ventilation in the cage and the attachment of water supply means to the cage are easy.SOLUTION: A breeding cage comprises a lid body and a container body. The lid body is formed of: a slope coming in contact with a frame member and moving a frame body upward when the breeding cage is inserted into the rack of the breeding device； and a recess where a portion of the frame member is fitted and moves the frame body downward, and the intake/exhaust hood is connected to an intake/exhaust port formed in the lid valley when the breeding cage is inserted to a predetermined position in the rack.
