A bird feeder is provided with a feed container including an internal space and at least one feeding opening on an outer surface and communicating with the internal space； at least one perch disposed on the outer surface of the feed container and each extending outwardly under the feeding opening； a support assembly disposed on the outer surface of the feed container and above the feeding opening； and a cover including a central opening disposed on the feed container. A bottom edge of the central opening is rested upon the support assembly. The cover acts as a lever in response to a force exerted thereon.
