A baffle for an animal feeding device includes an upwardly facing surface having an opening therein, an upwardly extending wall, and at least one projection extending in a direction opposite the upwardly extending wall. The baffle is configured to be disposed in an animal feeding device to enable food to pass through the opening, and support at least a portion of food in the animal feeder on the upwardly facing surface.
