PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a visual reproduction assisting apparatus which efficiently stimulates cells constituting the retina while securing a required electric charge.
SOLUTION: The visual reproduction assisting apparatus comprises electrodes respectively formed at the tips of a plurality of conductors formed on a predetermined substrate and a control means for outputting an electric stimulation pulse signal from the electrodes through the conductors, and the visual reproduction assisting apparatus is provided with a shielding member which is made of insulating material and which is disposed at the periphery of the electrodes in the state of having a predetermined clearance between the side surfaces of the electrodes and the shielding member, specifically a shielding member having an opening for releasing the electric stimulation pulse signal released from the surface of the electrodes toward the upside of the electrodes.
