PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress bulkiness of a folded empty bag due to restoring force, and improve efficiency of folding work of the empty bag.SOLUTION: A bag opening device 1 cuts a granular material encapsulating bag F charged into a bag opening processing part 3 inside a housing 2 by a cutter 4, bends an empty bag G, from which the granular material is taken out, while pushing in the empty bag toward a pair of adjacently arranged rotatable rollers 5A, 5B by a pusher 6, and discharges the empty bag G while sandwiching the empty bag with the pair of rollers 5A, 5B. The pusher 6 is arranged to face the pair of rollers 5A, 5B, and has a boring tool 7 at a tip part of the pusher 6 on the side facing the rollers 5A, 5B.
