The invention concerns a method for treating heavy or sticky soil comprising a sequence of operations consisting of: - mixing said heavy or sticky soil at least with mineral rubble in the form of stones and/or pebbles, and optionally with plant waste compost to obtain a base mixture, - treating said base mixture by crushing to obtain a crushed material, - heating said crushed material, and - carrying out a screening operation on said heated crushed material. This method helps improve the upgrading of such heavy/sticky soils, by making them easier to work and, if applicable, making them more fertile with the plant waste compost. The invention also concerns a facility for implementing such a treatment, comprising crushing means (2), screening means (4) and, between the two, transfer means (3) comprising heating means (11).Linvention concerne un procédé de traitement de terre lourde ou collante comprenant des opérations successives consistant : - à mélanger ladite terre lourde ou collante au moins avec des gravats minéraux en forme de pierres et/ou de cailloux, et éventuellement avec du compost de déchets végétaux pour obtenir un mélange de base, - à traiter par broyage ledit mélange de base pour obtenir un broyat, - à chauffer ledit broyat, et - à réaliser une opération de criblage dudit broyat chauffé. Ce procédé permet daméliorer la valorisation de telles terres lourdes/collantes, en facilitant leur travail et le cas échéant en les rendant plus fertiles avec le compost de déchets végétaux. Linvention concerne également une installation pour la mise en œuvre dun tel traitement, comprenant des moyens broyeurs (2), des moyens cribleurs (4) et, entre les deux, des moyens de transfert (3) comportant des moyens de chauffage (11).
