The present invention relates to a culture medium composition for promoting stem cell proliferation containing passion fruit derived meristematic cells extracts (PFME), and a use thereof. Especially, the PFME maintains human stem cells in an undifferentiated state and effectively proliferates the same, and has a melanocyte reduction effect, an active oxygen inhibitory effect, an MMP-1 inhibitory effect, and the like, and thereby can be usefully used as a cosmetic composition having effects including skin whitening activity, antioxidative activity, suppression of skin aging by ultraviolet rays, inhibition of skin wrinkle formation by ultraviolet rays, and wrinkle reducing activity.본 발명은 패션푸르츠 유래 분열조직세포 추출물(passion fruit derived meristem cells extracts, PFME)을 함유하는 세포 증식용 배지 조성물 및 이의 용도에 관한 것으로 PFME는 특히 인간 줄기세포를 미분화 상태로 유지시키며 효과적으로 증식시키고, 멜라닌 세포 감소효과, 활성산소 억제효과, MMP-1 억제 효능 등을 가지므로 이를 이용해 피부 미백 활성, 항산화 활성, 자외선에 의한 피부 노화 억제, 자외선에 의한 피부 주름 생성 억제 및 주름 개선 활성을 가지는 화장료 조성물로 유용하게 사용될 수 있다.
