Provided in the present invention is a novel method for manufacturing high-purity gadobutrol. The manufacturing method of the present invention can manage the purity of an intermediate with a simple and mild process, and can be easily applied to the mass production by obtaining gadobutrol having the high purity or the extra high purity higher than the existing purity. The manufacturing method of gadobutrol comprises the steps of: manufacturing a compound represented by chemical formula 2 or a compound represented by chemical formula 3； manufacturing a compound represented by chemical formula 4； and manufacturing a compound represented by chemical formula 1.본 발명은 고순도의 가도부트롤을 제조하는 신규한 방법을 제공한다. 본 발명은 간단하고 온화한 공정으로 중간체의 순도를 관리할 수 있어 기존의 순도보다 높은 고순도 또는 초고순도를 가지는 가도부트롤을 높은 수율로 수득할 수 있어 대량 생산에 용이하게 적용될 수 있다.
