PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve discriminative properties of color change in a leaf or a stem of a plant while reducing a cost for a light source in an apparatus for growing and storing the plant, having the light source for irradiating the plant arranged in a closed space having an air conditioner with its light. SOLUTION: This apparatus for growing and storing the plant has a red LED (light-emitting diode) 10 which is the light source for radiating a red light having 600-700 nm main wave length components as the light source irradiating the plant with the light, and a green LED 11 which is the light source radiating a green light having 500-600 nm main wave length components.
