The power oscillator is designed to excite the output circuit at a first excitation frequency, which corresponds to a resonant frequency of the output circuit, in a first operating mode and to excite the output circuit at a second excitation frequency which differs from the first excitation frequency, which does not correspond to the resonant frequency of the output circuit, in a second operating mode.
