PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a trocar apparatus allowing a smooth extraction of a trocar shaft from a trocar when the trocar shaft having a difference in width formed on its outer circumference.SOLUTION: A trocar apparatus 112 comprises a trocar 116 and a trocar shaft 117. The trocar 116 includes a retractable camera section 36 and a seal unit 182. The seal unit 182 includes a dome type seal 188 and a first mount 187. The trocar shaft 117 has a puncture portion 155 having a difference in width formed on its tip near its base end. The length L1 of the punctuation part 155 and the length L2 from a boundary between a pipe section 131 and a head section 132 to an opening of the first mount along the axis of the trocar 116 have the relationship satisfying a following conditional equation (A).
