1999年获南开大学理学博士学位，应化系博士生导师。现任理学院副院长，化学实验教学中心主任，教育部高等学校大学化学课程教学指导委员会委员兼农林组召集人，中国化学会化学教育学科委员会委员，《大学化学》编委。
